MK Breakers are a community basketball club dedicated to developing basketball in the Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, offering basketball for boys and girls (ages 4-19) in their 6 basketball centres.
The MK Breakers are based in Milton Keynes and compete in the UK’s NBL, one of the most ambitious basketball clubs to date! Despite Billy Beddow-Patel leaving the Breakers after 4 years, MK Breakers have announced their new Head Coach for the Men’s team and Head Coach and Basketball Academy Manager Adam Digby.
Welcome, Coach Ben Stanley and Adam Digby to MK Breakers Basketball Club!
Announced on the 14th July 2025, the Breakers have officially appointed Ben Stanley as their new head coach. Stanley was also named the WNBL Division 1 Coach of the Year for the 2022/23 season after leading the Women’s Solent Kestrels squad. Stanley’s reputation as a strategic “player caller” and a developer of talent makes him a great fit for the ambitious MK Breakers Men's squad. Stanley’s hands-on background suggests that he will be fostering young talent and implementing modern coaching methods, so great (and new) things coming for the MK Breakers this season!
Formerly the Academy Assistant Coach, Adam has played a key part in the development of MK5D’s elite Under-19 and Junior teams. Passionate about both player performance and personal development, Digby is committed to raising standards while nurturing a positive, high-performance culture. “I’m incredibly proud to have been given the opportunity to lead the MK5D Academy,” Adam says. “This is a programme built by people who care deeply about giving our players the best possible experience during their time with us and beyond.”
An unforgettable 2024/25 season means bigger and better things are coming for the Breakers. The Breakers Women put on a strong show in the WNBL Division 2 Final alongside the Men’s squad, and ultimately look to progress in their next season.
The 2025–26 NBL season is 3 months away: running from October to April. Entries for the NBL league are now closed, and confirmation for scheduling is to follow.
