WH Cricket & Yorkshire Cricket Board Partner to Develop 47 Female Coaches

WH Cricket has partnered with the Yorkshire Cricket Board to upskill 47 aspiring female coaches through its fully certified Rookie Coach Course. The initiative marks a significant step in strengthening the women and girls' pathway across grassroots cricket in the region.

Delivered digitally via TMA Sport Management - WH Cricket’s digital partner - the course offers professional, flexible access to coaching development, with the safety and experience of women and girls at its core. The partnership has been made possible through close collaboration with Grace Pearson, Head of Women & Girls at the Yorkshire Cricket Board.

Lauren Winfield-Hill, Founder of WH Cricket, said:

“This course is about more than just certification - it’s about giving women and girls the opportunity to lead, inspire, and grow in the game. We’re proud to work with the Yorkshire Cricket Board and TMA Sport to make high-quality coaching development accessible to more people across the region.”

Jack Harrison, Head of Cricket at TMA Sport, added:

“We believe coaching should build more than just cricket skills. It’s a pathway to confidence, leadership, and lifelong growth - and we’re proud to support this mission through safe, flexible digital delivery.”

Following the success of this programme, WH Cricket is encouraging more clubs, schools, and county boards to get involved. Whether you're looking to develop your coaching team, grow the women and girls’ game locally, or offer flexible learning opportunities, the Rookie Coach Course is a ready-made solution designed to inspire the next generation.
